THE NATURE. THE SOMONTANO

Under the protection of the Pyrenees, or more exactly, in the Somontano, that is, "at the foot of the mountains", in the Northeast area of the province of Huesca you can find the 4.297 hectares bearing this name. A melting pot of different influences where a blue and clear Mediterranean sky mixes with the humid Atlantic air coming from the Cantabrian Sea. In the crash between these two forces, the mountain chain disperses the clouds and softens temperatures giving rise to the climatic conditions which allow grapes to mature slowly, getting a higher acidity which gives to its wines a European touch.

The surrounding landscape marks the character of people, having an influence on the way they think and work and on their conception of life. The beauty and peace of the countryside in the Somontano are a daily lesson of how things should be done. We limit ourselves to learning with humility from the perfection which surrounds and encourages us. The richness of nuances of this region has taught us the respect for nature and the simplicity which is required to understand our environment and show it to the world as it is, as we have learned to see it. The culture of ENATE is not a matter of chance. Each one of its actions is the consequence of a very particular way of understanding nature, and the understanding of nature means the respect for nature.
